The role:

We are looking for a proven, passionate Head of Sales to join our team. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in helping us achieve our ambitious growth goals, leading up to our Series B fundraising. The Head of Sales is responsible for developing key growth sales strategies, optimising and expanding the sales team and working cross-functionally to ensure the vision of the business is lived and breathed by everyone at theUp.co. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve your financial targets.

Your responsibilities:

  • Own the responsibility of the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to deals close and account management hand-off
  • Direct management of a growing number of sales reps - SDR’s, BDM’s and field sales reps.
  • Work with the CEO/CRO to set sales targets and ensure they are achieved
  • Ensure all sales team members are performing
  • Develop a high performing sales culture
  • Be autonomous and relentless in your pursuit of new business
  • Engage with C-level partners and leadership team members
  • Work with our marketing/design teams to create custom collateral to support your teams sales effort
  • Advocating for our products 24/7
  • Synthesise customer feedback in a meaningful and actionable way to the product teams
  • Effectively represent ChargedUp and ServedUp at client meetings together with your team and strategic partners
  • Oversee the hiring and development of sales team members


What we’re looking for:

  • You have experience leading a sales function within a start-up environment
  • You have some experience of selling within the hospitality industry
  • You have great communication skills
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • You have an ability and willingness to learn quickly and get up to speed on all aspects of the business product and strategy
  • You are analytical and fully understand the role of each of our channels
  • You have strong problem-solving abilities
  • You have a natural entrepreneurial spirit and drive to get deals done and push them live
  • A hustler with a ‘get it done’ attitude
  • Excellent listening and coaching skills with an ability to gain engagement
  • Experience with CRM software (HubSpot), BI tools (Domo) and GSuite
  • SaaS experience beneficial
